Penulis utama Nicolas Guèguen, seorang profesor perilaku sosial di Universitas Bretagne-Sud di Prancis. Studi tersebut meneliti musik romantis yang diputar sebagai backsound.

"Lirik lagu romantis bertindak sebagai lagu utama yang pada gilirannya, menyebabkan tampilan perilaku yang terkait dengan lagu utama itu," tulis para peneliti di studi tersebut, dikutip Pacific Standard Magazine.
