Pelajaran Bahasa Inggris umumnya sudah diajarkan sejak Si Kecil duduk di kelas 1 SD. Soal-soal yang diujikan pun disesuaikan dengan pelajaran yang telah diajarkan selama tiga bulan terakhir.

PTS sendiri merupakan istilah yang digunakan untuk menggantikan istilah yang sebelumnya dinamakan UTS (Ujian Tengah Semester). PTS biasanya diujikan pada minggu kedelapan atau kesembilan.

Tujuan dari ujian ini adalah untuk mengevaluasi capaian belajar dan proses pembelajaran di kelas selama setengah semester ke belakang.
